Asha Bobb-Semple

Operations Analyst, Global Environment Facility

Asha Bobb-Semple currently serves as the Operations Analyst at the Global Environment Facility, working with the Land Degradation team, the Integrated Approach Pilot programs and supporting the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) team. Asha has 10 years of multi-sector experience in managing projects and investment/grant programs in the areas of biodiversity conservation, climate change and natural resource management (water and forests)  with specific reference to small island developing states, in particular of the Caribbean region.  Asha has worked at the NGO level for 7 years as well as with the public sector, at multilateral levels and has engaged at numerous stages of her career with the academic and private sectors.  Prior to the GEF, she worked as a Consultant in the Global Water Practice of the World Bank  and at the United Nations Development Programme. Asha has an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London and a BSc in International Relations from the University of the West Indies (Mona Campus), Jamaica.
