Patrice Buche

Patrice Buche received the PhD degree in computer science from the University of Rennes, France, in 1990 and the HDR – qualified Senior Researcher diploma (Paris Sud University). He has been assistant professor in computer science with AgroParisTech, the French leading school of engineering in agronomy, from 1992 to 2002 and a research engineer with INRA, the first Agricultural Research Institute in Europe, since 2002. He leads a knowledge engineering research group in IATE research unit of the INRA Food Technology department based in Montpellier (south of France) and is associate with the INRIA (French National Institute for computer science and applied mathematics ) GraphiK team. His research works mainly concern data integration from heterogeneous sources using ontologies and decision-support system design reusing annotated data with applied projects in food and biobased product engineering. He has been member of several program committees of international and national conferences in Computer Sciences and Food Engineering. He has been involved in several European and national academic and industrial projects. He is co-author of more than 120 scientific publications in international and national journals and conferences.
