Susan Evans

International Consultant; Chair, "The Future of Urban Food"

Susan Evans is at the forefront, pushing boundaries of various initiatives to envision and develop social innovation and sustainability eco-systems. Evans consults with Global enterprises, lectures in Design and innovation, conducts workshops and research with Universities and the DESIS network. Evans founded successful social enterprises and mentored and supported many others, to inspire and create, markets and demand for sustainable impact leading to healthier and more resilient society. She has a proven track record in building collaborative organizations and creating prototypes for future resilient cities, trans-disciplinary spaces and dialogues to create techno-socio-environmental collisions, inspire innovation and pro-socio-environmental communities with the vision to move policy, people and business from awareness through to advocacy and implementation.

Prior to this Evans held leadership roles in global advertising agencies. She has run business in 3 continents: Europe, USA and Asia. Most recently located in Asia.

Featured in the Guardian (UK) top 50 global social entrepreneurs, Shanghai Daily, Shanghai morning post, shanghai weekly, youth daily, city weekend, Psychologies, Chinese Gov. Television and publications, LOHAS, National Association for Environmental Education (UK), Our Common Future Paris 2015 and others: also awarded best social enterprise of the year 2012 – 2015 by Elle China and Lohas.

She holds a postgraduate qualification in Decision Making in Environmental Sustainability, an M Phil Statistics, BSc (Hons) Mathematics and a BA (Hons) Education She is a frequent speaker, researcher and writer on innovation, leadership and sustainability.

  • Farm in a box an adaptation project: sustainable and nutritious food source for undernourished groups. Design installation, soft system development on-going.
